According to Nielsen Media Research, Wallace was the most watched show in the D.C. market, a big prize because winning Washington not only is a huge feather in his cap, but makes his show the go-to show for public officials looking to get the biggest bang out of their appearances.
His show ranked first followed by NBC’s “Meet The Press,” ABC’s “This Week” and CBS’ “Face the Nation.”
Wallace was in 64,000 D.C. area households and was seen by 107,000, including 41,000 in the critical 25-54 age group. NBC’s David Gregory was in 53,000 households and seen by by 73,000, including 33,000 in the critical demographic. It was the first time Wallace swept the ratings since Gregory took over as moderator in December 2008.
