Despite seven debuts in the top ten, overall album sales are up only 1% over last week and down 9% over the same week last year. Year-to-date album sales are down 15% over the same period in 2013. Physical CD sales are down 3% over last week, down 17% over the same week last year and down 19% year-to-date over 2013. Digital album sales are up 3% over last week, down 3% over the same week last year and down 12% year-to-date over 2013. Digital track sales are down 3% over last week, down 16% over the same week last year and down 13% year-to-date over 2013. Track-equivalent album sales are down 0.5% over last week and down 14% year-to-date over 2013.

Lecrae’s “Anomaly” debuts at number one on the Top Albums chart with 88,000 units sold. It is his first chart-topping album and one week sales total to date. It surpasses his 2012 No. 3 “Gravity,” which sold 72,000 units in its first week. It is the third lowest sales total for a No. 1 album this year.
