With six albums debuting in the top ten, overall album sales are up 1% over last week but down 14% over the same week last year. Year-to-date album sales are down 14% over the same period in 2013. Physical CD sales are up 2% over last week, down 16% over the same week last year and down 19% year-to-date over 2013. Digital album sales are flat over last week, down 17% over the same week last year and down 12% year-to-date over 2013. Digital track sales are down 1% over last week, down 11% over the same week last year and down 13% year-to-date over 2013. Track-equivalent album sales are up 0.4% over last week and down 13.9% year-to-date over 2013.

“Cheek To Cheek,” the collaboration between Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga, debuts at number one on the Top Albums chart with 131,000 units sold. It is Bennett’s second chart-topping album in the SoundScan era, following 2011’s “Duets II.” It is Lady Gaga’s third appearance at No. 1, following 2011’s “Born This Way” and 2013’s “Artpop.”

Kenny Chesney’s “Big Revival” debuts at No. 2 with 130,000 units sold. It is his ninth album to enter in the top two and his fourth straight.
