Despite seven debuts in the top ten, overall album sales are down 2% over last week and down 6% over the same week last year. Year-to-date album sales are down 14% over the same period in 2013. Physical CD sales are down 1% over last week, down 11% over the same week last year and down 18% year-to-date over 2013. Digital album sales are down 2% over last week, down 3% over the same week last year and down 11% year-to-date over 2013. Digital track sales are up 3% over last week, down 13% over the same week last year and down 13% year-to-date over 2013. Track-equivalent album sales are down 0.4% over last week and down 13.6% year-to-date over 2013.

Florida Georgia Line’s “Anything Goes” debuts at number one on the Top Albums chart with 197,000 units sold. It is their first chart-topping album, surpassing the No. 4 peak of their debut album “Here’s To The Good Times.” It is the third straight week that the top selling album has come from a Country artist, following Jason Aldean and Blake Shelton.
